5 Dream Travel Destinations

In the past month, the travel bug has bitten me more than I'm willing to admit. I'm just about DYING to get out and see something new! With the height of travel season at the perfect distance to start planning, I wanted to share my top 5 dream travel spots! I decided not to include places I've already been, even though some of those places (cough, Switzerland, cough) could have been number one on this list.

5. Seattle
Seattle has a little bit of everything for everyone. There are skyscrapers, markets, shorelines, mountains, and forests. Want to spend a day shopping in fancy stores? Seattle has it. Want to spend your time hiking or boating? Seattle has that too! My extreme love for mountains and the Pacific Northwest drew my attention to Seattle. My main Seattle dream includes spending copious amounts of time in the coastal and forest areas. However, I would also love to see fishermen throwing fish in Pike Place Market and see the city from the sky in the Space Needle. Seattle has tons of art, whether in museums or out for the public to enjoy. The rainy weather is also something I would enjoy! It just seems like such a quirky, fun place that would take me forever to finish exploring.

4. Morocco
Out of all the places, I know the least about Morocco. To be honest, it wasn't even on my travel radar until I saw some blog posts and videos about it. I instantly fell in love! The culture in Morocco is unlike any other. It's like being transported to a different time! My main stop would be in Marrakech. It's a big city, Morocco style! There aren't any skyscrapers and most of the buildings are made of earth. They have endless marketplaces and gorgeous temples and museums with hand-painted tiles from floor to ceiling. A short drive through some gorgeous desert mountains will take you to the small village of Ait Benhaddou. People have lived in this village for thousands of years. You can grab lunch, see how the locals live, and even explore some ruins. There is so much culture, tradition, and beauty in Morocco that I just can't miss out on!

3. New Zealand
Just one look at this and you can see why New Zealand is a must for me. In case you haven't caught the theme yet, I'll give you a hint: MOUNTAINS! This is Milford Sound, the most gorgeous place I have ever virtually seen. As if it isn't great enough just to look at, it is home to dolphins, seals, and penguins! This is probably the least likely of my dream destinations to ever become a reality as I would have to get to New Zealand first and then hand over another $600-ish just to get to Milford Sound. But I will never give up on my mountainous dreams! New Zealand is also home to the Shire and pretty much every other filming location from Lord of the Rings and Chronicles of Narnia. New Zealand is literally a fairy tale country. They have just about every kind of terrain and ecosystem you can think of. I'll be there soon, my hobbit friends!

2. Ireland/Scotland
I couldn't pick just one! This photo is from my all time favorite photographer on Instagram, Finn. This is the Storr on the Scottish Isles. While I would definitely stop by Edinburgh and Dublin and the likes, my real destination lies in the wilderness of the UK. The Scottish Highlands and Scottish Isles have sights and formations that you won't find anywhere else in the world. The foggy weather is just my cup of tea, too! If cool pointy mountains and sheep don't make you excited, I don't know what will! In general, the UK countryside is far too gorgeous to not be seen. Ireland holds a special place in my heart because I am so very Irish in heritage and demeanor! I'm only a few generations away from being completely Irish. As my blog's name suggests, I am an extremely sentimental person. Seeing where my ancestors grew up and worked the land would just make my little heart explode with happiness! The beautiful Irish cities, countryside, and coastline are just an added bonus!

1. Canada
Oh, Canada! Canada lands at number one on my list because of sheer beauty, proximity, and the fact that it is quite possibly going to be my next travel destination (fingers crossed)!!!! This, my friends, is Banff, Canada, Have you ever laid your eyes on such a sight?? We have glacial lakes, mountains, snow, and perfect pines standing guard. All of my favorite things! Plus, there are probably some little wolves and bears in there too! Banff is my number one pick in Canada. However, I would also love to visit Newfoundland, as well as Toronto and Ontario. Obviously, those would require several separate trips, but I'm certainly not complaining about going to Canada more than once! It's in places like this that I can REALLY breathe, take it in, and forget anything except the beauty that lies before me.

Hopefully you got some ideas or even learned something new about my dream destinations! Where is one place that you would love to travel to? Leave your answer in the comments! Maybe you can give me some new ideas! Thanks for reading and happy trails!
